We might all be self-isolated but we still have plenty going on with lots of opportunity to meet others, make new friends and share life together.

Bags of Hope

We are bringing hope and a smile to families in desperate need in Gorse Hill and Swindon, by delivering a bag of essential supplies. If you can help in anyway, or you you could use a bag of food, do contact Heather and the team.

Sunday Service

We continue to meet at 11am each Sunday, you can join in interactively via Zoom, login to see the meeting details. Or you can watch in via our Facebook page, no login necessary...

Our Sunday sermons are available over on our Sermons page. You can download the audio to listen whenever you want or you can watch the video. If you missed the service, you should watch the video and join us next Sunday.

Pastoral Care

Pastoral care will also continue as much as possible. If you need any help or feel unwell do let us know so that we can pray and help you in appropriate ways. Join our free chat, see above.

God sees and knows what is happening. Let’s pray for our world and look for opportunities to share God’s love.

GHBC’s Ministries

The decision to cancel meetings will have significant implications for GHBC’s Ministries. It is important to keep in touch and we are looking at the ways we can do this through the Home Groups and Care Groups as well as maintaining contact through the teams you work in so well. Please be particularly aware of those who are elderly or isolated or have limited access to social media/the web.

Please let me or one of the Pastoral Care team know if you have any particular needs. We won’t be able to visit you, apart from exceptional circumstances, but we will be able to talk and hopefully help in other practical ways

Maintaining our spiritual life

We are also considering ways in which we may support and deepen our spiritual life. We will endeavour to keep in touch to advise you of how we can do this safely and as effectively as possible. We’ll also share details of websites and resources you can access.

Blessing our neighbours

This is an opportunity to both discover and express something of who we are as God’s people- a people blessed to be a blessing to those in our wider community.

Many who are not yet followers of Jesus are going to be watching and listening – watching how we react and what we have to say. Let’s consider how we might support the foodbank and those who are homeless and rough sleepers.

Closing thought

For this reason I kneel before the Father, from whom his whole family in heaven and on earth derives its name. I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. (Ephesians 3: 14 – 19)
