Gorse Hill Baptist Church support a number of organisations that work in the UK and abroad to bring the message of hope in Jesus Christ to many. We do this in prayer, financial support and publicising the work of the various organisations. On this page you can find links and live feeds to each of these organisations and find out about the work they are involved in.

As part of our commitment to Tearfund we dedicate some of our support to the Eagles Project in Malawi. In return we receive regular updates on their situation. See below for the latest information.

We also help support two missionaries, Paul and Sarah, in Thailand as part of BMS. The latest news from them can be seen at the bottom of this page.

Tuesday Fellowship

Following on immediately after Lunch Club why not stay for some good time to talk and listen to some guest speakers.

ReCreateReCreate is a craft morning for all the family. Our craft stations spread out throughout the church give everyone in the family a chance to create something, no matter their age or ability.

Recreate run seasonally with events close to Easter and Christmas so keep an eye out for the posters. Typically the craft morning will run from 10am – 1pm but do check the advertisement to confirm.

Also available is a quiet space to reflect, prayer and colour as you wish.

The morning crafts end with a time gathered to hear a story and see some of what has been created. Lastly we gather again to eat a lunch that we provide free of charge.

And it’s all FREE, no cost to the craft, food or entry.

We hope to see you at the next one.

Small groups play a vital role within our church. They provide an opportunity to study God's Word, pray together and growth in fellowship with each other.

Groups meet at different times, days and places twice a month. For details please speak to a deacon on a Sunday.

We believe that our children are not just the church of the future but also part of the church today.

As a result we have a series of inspiring and engaging groups for our children to attend, with of the purpose of teaching them about God and His love for them while also having fun together.

Kidzone - Sunday mornings for school aged children

CFC - Fun and Games for ages 6 - 11 yrs

Pram Club - A fun time for all toddlers (parents welcome as well!)

As a church we are committed to providing a safe environment for activities with children and young people and have adopted ways of working with children and young people that promote their safety and well-being. It recognises it’s responsibilities for the safeguarding of all children and young people under the age of 18 as set out in The Children Act 1989 and 2004, Safe from Harm (HM Government1994) and Working Together to Safeguard Children (HM Government 2010). Each year we review and re-affirm our commitment to our Safeguarding Policy.
