Following advice GHBC has taken the hard decision to cancel it's regular physical meetings until mid-April at the earliest.
We will meet on Sunday at 11am in the virtual world using the Zoom teleconferencing service. This allows us to join the meeting by telephone or internet. You can find joining instructions in the full artical below. Please share the telephone instructions with those you know who normally attend but do not use the internet.
Pastoral care will also continue as much as possible. If you need any help or feel unwell do let us know so that we can pray and help you in appropriate ways.
God sees and knows what is happening. Let’s pray for our world and look for opportunities to share God’s love.

To connect to the Zoom Sunday Service by internet follow this link, https://zoom.us/j/108880607, You will then by guided through the process of joining, you will need the meeting ID: 108 880 607. It will be helpful to do this in advance of the meeting and join a few minutes early, this gives a good time to catch up with the others.
To connect by telephone, obtain the bill payers permission and use one of these numbers:

The decision to cancel meetings will have significant implications for GHBC’s Ministries. It is important to keep in touch and we are looking at the ways we can do this through the Home Groups and Care Groups as well as maintaining contact through the teams you work in so well. Please be particularly aware of those who are elderly or isolated or have limited access to social media/the web.
Please let me or one of the Pastoral Care team know if you have any particular needs. We won’t be able to visit you, apart from exceptional circumstances, but we will be able to talk and hopefully help in other practical ways
Maintaining our spiritual life
We are also considering ways in which we may support and deepen our spiritual life. We will endeavour to keep in touch to advise you of how we can do this safely and as effectively as possible. We’ll also share details of websites and resources you can access.
Working with others
I have been in close contact with colleagues from the Good News for Swindon network (GNFS). We are seeking ways where we can share resources, both practical and spiritual, which will be a true expression of the Kingdom of God.
Please keep an eye on the news items on the church web page as such opportunities arise.
Blessing our neighbours
This is an opportunity to both discover and express something of who we are as God’s people- a people blessed to be a blessing to those in our wider community.
Many who are not yet followers of Jesus are going to be watching and listening – watching how we react and what we have to say. Let’s consider how we might support the foodbank and those who are homeless and rough sleepers.
I am setting up a small team who can coordinate our response to needs and opportunities. Rather like COBRA we will aim to meet regularly to match the offers of help we have already received to the needs we are or become aware of.
If you are able to help in any of the following ways, then please get in touch with me (e mail or text)
- cooking meals for delivery, collection now or freezing (delivery later)
- helping with shopping
- collect prescriptions and medication
- co-ordinating the admin to enable this to work
For this reason I kneel before the Father, from whom his whole family in heaven and on earth derives its name. I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith.
