New Beginnings
Sunday 16th May was the second of our interactive Church events with the theme being New Beginnings and how God and the Holy Spirit can work in us.
With plenty of different areas for people to go to we all had a great time exploring God in different and new ways and then coming together to share our experiences.
Drama - New this time was drama and for the all budding actors it was the perfect time to show off their skills whilst telling the story of the paralised man who was healed, featuring a staring role from Phil as the paralized man!
Collages - Popular again was the collage making session where people worked hard to represent the story of Pentecost which are now on show in the Church.
Puppets - Popular with not only kids but a fair few adults! We were treated to a fabulous puppet dance show performed by a committed and very well rehearsed group who looked like they had a great time!
Dance - This time using flags to express our desire for God to fill us with His Spirit, a wide range from young to old took up this challenge.
Bible Study - Lead by Kelvin Kennedy this group spent some time studying the Holy Spirit and his renewing powers.
Prayer - Focusing on New Beginnings the prayer group produced both some personal prayers but also a responsive prayer that we as a congregation could join in with. If you weren't there and would like to read it you can find it here.
Song Writing - Taking the music from an existing song the group came up with new lyrics which focused not only on our new begings as individuals but also as a Church as we seek a new pastor. We all joined together to sing the song to end our service. If you would like to see the lyrics then click here and hopefully we will be singing it again soon in Church.
We hope you all enjoyed the service and are already looking forward to the next one. Remember it's always good to try new things in Church!
