What's the point of life? What happens when we die? Is forgiveness possible? What relevance does Jesus have for our lives today? More than a million people all over the world have completed the Alpha course during the last six years in churches, homes, schools, universities and prisons. Alpha is an opportunity for anyone to explore the Christian faith in a relaxed, non-threatening setting over ten thought-provoking weekly sessions, with an optional day or weekend away. It is low-key, friendly and fun - and is supported by all the main Christian denominations. There will almost certainly be a course running near you. Why not take this opportunity to find out? An opportunity to explore the meaning of life ![]() What is Alpha? The Alpha course is a 15 session, ten week practical introduction to the Christian faith. It is designed primarily for non-churchgoers and those who have recently become Christians. It was established at Holy Trinity Brompton (HTB) over twenty years ago and there are now more than 10,000 Alpha courses throughout the UK and overseas. At HTB, Alpha courses are held throughout the year and have over 650 people attending each week. Alpha is a flexible and practical model which can work for any group of any size. Churches and Christian organisations of every background and denomination are discovering it to be a simple and effective way of presenting the gospel of Jesus Christ in a clear and non-threatening manner to people from all walks of life.
